Festus holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree from the University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University. Prior to joining APHRC, Festus worked as a Business Development Advisor with Population Services Kenya where he helped implement the organization’s fundraising strategy in addition to directly implementing a USAID/AHME funded Medical Credit Fund (MCF) program. His fundraising expertise revolves around dealing with funders such as USAID, AHME, DFID, Global Fund, and UNICEF, among others. In 2018, Festus was awarded for demonstrating efficiency, empowerment, results, focus, integrity, innovation and collaboration in the performance of his duties.

Festus is always motivated by the desire to impact lives in a positive manner. He takes great interest in the economies of the developing world and is keen to see that developing countries employ effective strategies to foster growth and development, thus bettering human life.
