Fadima Yaya Bocoum
Fadima is a sociologist and health economist working at the West Africa Regional Office (WARO) in Dakar, Senegal. She has expertise in social studies, health systems and policies, and health economics, with substantial experience in monitoring and evaluation, management, and implementation of health-related projects across many countries in West Africa, particularly in Reproductive Maternal Newborn and Child Health, HIV, and health workforce. Fadima is well-grounded in qualitative data research and markedly contributes to quantitative data management and analyses.
She holds a Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of Western Cape (South Africa), an MSc in Health Economics from the African Center for Higher Studies in Management (CESAG, Senegal), and a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). She was previously ChargĂ© de recherche at the Institut de Recherche en Sciences de la SantĂ© (IRSS, Burkina Faso), where she led the M&E department.
Fadima’s research interests include health system and policy and health economics.
