EUGENIA SIRENGO
Eugenia Sirengo leads the communications efforts for the Catalyze Impact Initiative at APHRC, focusing on communicating innovative solutions that transform how research evidence can inform decisions leading to positive societal impact. A member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), Eugenia holds a Master’s degree in Communication and International Marketing from Newcastle University, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication (Public Relations) from Daystar University, Kenya. She is also a Fellow of the Young African Leaders Initiative (Cohort 25) and an alumnus of the Emerging Leaders Foundation (2016). In 2018, for a two-year term, Eugenia was selected to serve as a committee member for the Commonwealth Youth Council’s Office of Inclusion and Engagement.
Before joining APHRC, Eugenia served as the Communications Lead for Mercy Corps AgriFin, managing media relations, branding, event management, and implementation of communication strategies for the program. She has also worked at the British High Commission (Nairobi) as a Communications and Marketing Officer and at the African Union Commission (Ethiopia) as a Communications Officer.
