ABOUT Malick Sarr

Malick is a Research Officer with experience in medical anthropology, participatory research, and quantitative and qualitative research methods. He has been involved in the conceptualization and development of research protocols. He is part of the Health Impact Partner Organization (IPO) Consortium team supporting the MasterCard Foundation, conducting landscaping analysis, developing the theories of change for the foundation’s health strategies, and developing a youth impact associate program. Malick also supports the Countdown to 2030 initiative and is stationed at the West Africa Regional Office (WARO).

Malick has a master’s degree in medical anthropology and sociology from the University of Dakar and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the same University. During his university course, he received a two-year scholarship to work as a research assistant with the Sociology, Anthropology, and Psychology Laboratory (LASAP) between 2020 and 2022. He worked as a Research Officer for the Regional Research and Training Center of Fann Hospital (CRCF) for eight months in 2023 before joining APHRC.

He is driven by a passion for the cause, impact and purpose, continuous learning, collaboration and networking, problem-solving, and professional development.

Malick enjoys playing video games, basketball and watching movies.
