Stephen is a skilled software engineer in the Data Synergy and Evaluation unit. He brings a diverse perspective to his work by leveraging insights from the global tech landscape. He architects database applications that support the activities of the center. This involves full-stack development, database administration, integrating third-party services, and delivering tailored solutions that make an impact.
He holds a BSc in Business Information Technology from Strathmore University, a diploma in Business Information Technology from the same university, and a professional certificate in networking as a Cisco Certified Networking Associate. Before joining APHRC, Stephen worked with Family Health International 360 as a Systems Developer Consultant on the Cross Border Health Integrated Partnership Project (CB-HIPP), and Nutrition and Health Program Plus (NHPPlus) project.
Stephen is driven by the desire to craft seamless digital experiences with a knack for problem-solving, transforming ideas into functional and captivating solutions, and, in so doing, creating holistic solutions that meet diverse project requirements. He enjoys tackling complex challenges head-on; this underscores his commitment to innovation.
