Data Systems Manager
Nelson has worked as a software developer in the Data Processing Unit of the Center for 4 years. He’s involved in creation and maintenance of a wide range of database applications that support the activities of the Center.
Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), a diploma in Information Technology from Kenya School of Professional Studies and various certificates in computer studies.
Nelson joined APHRC in 2002 as a Data Entry Clerk. He is currently interested in how new technologies like data mining can be applied in longitudinal and cross-sectional data management, as well as electronic data collection protocols.
