Catherine Nyambura Kahare

Research Officer
Catherine Nyambura Kahare is a Research Officer with the Chronic Diseases Management Unit in the Health and Well-being theme. She coordinates the Next Generation Vaccine Card: Innovative Technology to Improve Vaccine Equity in Rural and Urban Settings in East Africa project. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Clarke International University, Kampala, Uganda. Previously, she worked at APHRC as a study nurse on various projects, including AWIGEN, Ngao ya Afya, MRC PaLs, and Long COVID, and as a Joep-Lange (JL-4) project field coordinator. Before joining APHRC, she worked as a clinical nurse and homecare nurse supervisor at Avenue Healthcare Parklands, Nairobi, Kenya. Catherine desires to empower vulnerable communities to attain sustainable solutions to their chronic health problems.
