Martin is a trained Biostatistician, with expertise in data management and advanced statistical analyses. He Joined APHRC in January 2008, working under the Maternal and Child Health project (MCH) and Poverty Projects. Prior to joining APHRC, he worked as a Data Manager with the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) and as a Researcher at the Institute of International Research (IIR), London, UK.

Martin is currently working on his PhD in Epidemiology at the Institute of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases (ITROMID) at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT). His research is looking at the effects of vaccination uptake, timing and sequencing among children under 3 years of age on child mortality and morbidity.

Martin strives to be the best always; eager to learn and improve and is an accomplished chess player.
