Hilda’s primary responsibility in the Ageing and Development Program is to actively support the coordination and conduct of qualitative research projects. She also provides other research-related assistance such as preparation of scientific manuscripts and progress reports, budget-development for research proposals, and management of project resources.
Hilda is a MSc. Gerontology major at the University of Southampton and will be graduating in July 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Sociology) from the University of Nairobi. Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the National Council for Population and Development.
Hilda is particularly interested in advancing and more importantly, applying scientific knowledge to help older people remain involved in society in ways that they find meaningful.
