Amos is a statistician with expertise in data analysis and management, data visualization and statistical programming. He works under the Statistical and Surveys Unit where he assists scientists with data analysis and data management and also participates in scientific writing.
Prior to joining APHRC, Amos worked as a Research Officer at KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme and as a Data Manager at the International Maize and wheat Improvement Centre (CIMMYT). Amos holds a BSc. In Mathematics from the University of Nairobi and an MSc. in Mathematical Statistics from Stockholm University.
At his previous appointment, he participated in data analysis, proposal development and writing of scientific papers. He also created programs to perform transformations of large datasets and automate visualization of data from longitudinal cohorts.
