The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is an international, non-profit organization that conducts high quality and policy relevant research on population, health, education and development issues facing sub-Saharan Africa. The Center also supports research capacity strengthening activities through different training programs. APHRC seeks to recruit an experienced Marketing Assistant to join a dynamic and quickly expanding training unit.
Key duties and responsibilities
While aspects of the job may change over time, the successful candidate will be expected to:
Support the development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies for APHRC’s training programs
Market training programs across Africa
Support the production of marketing materials, including posters, flyers, and online promotional content
Nurture existing training partnerships while identifying and building new ones
Recruit participants for APHRC training programs
Work with team members to ensure smooth scheduling and delivery of trainings.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, marketing, education, or related fields
At least three years’ experience in marketing of training courses and programs
Experience in the development, delivery, and budgeting of training programs
Experience in designing and implementation of marketing strategies
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as ability to work in a culturally diverse team
Demonstrated experience in online and social media marketing.
