The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organization that conducts high quality and policy relevant research on population, health, education and development issues facing sub-Saharan Africa. The Center seeks to recruit Field Interviewers for its DSS Project, the Nairobi Urban Health and Demographic Surveillance System – NUHDSS in Korogocho and Viwandani.
Identity study boundary and targets.
Consenting study participants.
Conduct household interviews.
Self-editing all completed interviews to ensure the forms are accurately completed.
Harmonize any inconsistent data returned to the field.
Required qualifications and skills:
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade C+ (Plus) holder.
Resident of Korogocho or Viwandani.
Computer literate with a good understanding of basic computer operations.
Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
Possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Previous experience working with APHRC as a field interviewer in any of the two settlements on projects that are not the DSS.
