Marilyn has more than 3 years experience working with research scientists at APHRC investigating demographic, health and poverty dynamics in Africa, using a combination of longitudinal and cross-sectional data and analytical tools.

She holds an MPH in Biostatistics and Environmental and Occupational Health from Emory University, USA and a BA in Chemistry and Spanish from Lawrence University, USA.
