Peter Ngure

Program Manager, Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA)

Peter is in charge of the day-to-day operations of CARTA, a consortium of nine universities and four research institutes in sub-Saharan Africa that trains PhD fellows in population and health research.

Peter is an Associate Professor in parasitology and entomology. He obtained his PhD from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Prof. Ngure has previously served as the Dean, School of Science, Engineering and Health at Daystar University. He is a member of the Kenya National Academy of Sciences and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. He was recently ranked among the top 100 scientists in Kenya.

Peter is driven by a passion for excellence. He believes that lives can be positively transformed through research and innovation.
