Michael is in charge of data management and analysis for projects within the Population Dynamics and Reproductive Health (PDRH) research program.
He is currently working under two projects: the Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation (MLE) study and the Epidemiology of Unsafe Abortion in Kenya.
Michael holds a Masters degree in Social Statistics from the University of Nairobi. Prior to joining APHRC in 2009, he worked in several other institutions among them Population Services International as a Senior Statistician.
Michael is driven by the desire for quality scientific research geared towards improving the well-being of Kenyans and Africans at large; providing not only evidence but also key highlights on possible and plausible solutions to current health and health systems challenges in Africa.
