Lynette Kamau

Communications and Policy Officer

Lynette is involved in supporting the knowledge translation of research outputs in maternal, newborn and child health in the East Africa Health Policy Research Organization (EA-HPRO) program managed by the Policy Engagement and Communications Division. She also works closely with the Health Challenges and Systems unit.

Prior to joining APHRC, Lynette worked in the humanitarian sector with the International Committee of the Red Cross regional delegation in Nairobi. She has a Masters in International Studies and an Undergraduate in Development Communication, both from the University of Nairobi.

Lynette has a desire to positively impact people and uphold human dignity. She has a keen interest in policy work and its role in transforming Africa through homegrown solutions. Working at APHRC provides the platform for her to contribute to policy influence that improves the lives of people in Africa.

Lynette loves to read. Through reading she has learned more about history and explored many cultures. In her free time she also goes for hikes and long walks.
