Samson Malwa Haumba

Samson Malwa Haumba is a doctoral student at the University of South Africa and his doctoral dissertation topic is Best practice guidelines to monitor and prevent drug resistant tuberculosis treatment related hearing impairment.Samson is a clinician and public health professional with over 16 years of combined clinical, public health and research experience. He is a Country Director of the University Research Co., LLC – Swaziland office and manages and provides strategic leadership for URC Technical Assistance to Projects funded by the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in Swaziland to strengthen and improve health care systems for programmatic management of drug susceptible and drug resistant tuberculosis, integrated TB/HIV management and Strengthening laboratory management towards accreditation, and also supervises about 60 staff. Samson provides direct technical assistance and training to MOH and health sector stakeholders and development of clinical and programmatic standard operating procedures and guidelines.
