Scientific Writing and Publishing Training Workshop
Location: APHRC Campus
Date: 22/06/2015 - 26/06/2015
Publishing research outputs in international peer-reviewed journals is the main critical in gaining credibility and authority in technical areas of expertise. University research output and faculty citations are major criterion for University Rankings globally accounting for 20 to 30% of ranking criteria. You can only get cited if you get published! In demonstration of academic aptitude and scientific productivity, research output must get published.
Insufficient scientific writing capacity and time limitations are some of the factors that restricts research output publishing in African Universities. Many post graduate students will make a fantastic thesis and put it in the university library shelf where it remains without access by the rest of the world.
