The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization that carries out high quality, policy relevant research on population, health and education issues facing sub-Saharan Africa. The Center seeks to fill the position of Human Resource Officer for four months.
QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate should be a team player with the following:
A first degree in business administration with specialization in Human Resources Management.
At least five (5) years of post-qualification relevant work experience in a busy office.
Experience working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
Experience in staff resourcing, handling immigration matters as well as staff welfare and benefits matters.
Ability to work with a Human Resources Information System would be an added advantage.
Good computer skills in MS-Word and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
